I don't really have an answer to that. I have been here doing the same thing I always do... work, read, play with puppy, try to get puppy to quit scratching, etc. I guess I have just put off blogging and then realized that it has almost been 2 weeks! I apologize!
Well, things are going well. I LOVE TEACHING! I never thought I would say that, and I definitely wouldn't have last year, but this year is so much better. I am enjoying my class so much more and having so much more fun! I actually wake up and look forward to going to work each day. My weeks go by relatively fast and things seem to go so much smoother than last year. It's hard to say if it's because it's my second year or if it's because of the kids. I think it's a bit of both. My class is amazing!
In other things, not much else is going on. My parents are coming in town tomorrow for my nephew's 1st birthday and my brother's birthday. They are Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. I am looking forward to seeing them and having some good family time. We are all going out to dinner tomorrow night and possibly Friday night as well. My nephew's birthday is Saturday afternoon and my boyfriend has something planned for us Saturday night, although he hasn't told me what it is... The worst part about not knowing what it is, is I don't know how to dress! What a silly girl I am :)
Oh yeah... I got readmitted to KU so I can go back for some master's classes starting in the summer. My next step is to find an advisor that can help me figure out what my next classes need to be. I am not looking forward to going into debt... as I have never been in debt. But, I realize that this is "good" debt. I will get something out of it... a better education and a higher paycheck. I am already looking at ways to budget so I can get it paid off within 2 years of getting my masters. It shouldn't be too hard, and hopefully (*fingers crossed*) I will be part of a two-income family by the time I am done... if you catch my drift. I only think it will take me 2 years of doing summer school and one class during each semester. I really haven't done that much research on it, but my roommate has already offered her assistance in filling out the financial aid information and I have a friend who has been doing his masters classes since we graduated, so I hope he could help some. I will have to ask.
Pretty much I lead a boring life while school is in session (not that I am claiming that I ever really lead an exciting life, but you know what I mean). I did go to Office Depot today and got some goodies that were on clearance and a book about teaching effective classroom routines. I am always looking for ways to improve myself in the classroom. I guess that's a pretty common trait with teachers... we are life-long learners and control freaks. Therefore, we want to learn how to better control classrooms :)
Anywho... I am going to get some sleep soon... I didn't realize it was after 10, and being the wuss I am, I am pretty tired. Have a good night and I will try my hardest to get back into some sort of routine of posting again. Night night!
